The app for a dance school. From sign-up to showcase.
A dance school differs from a team sport in one way that changes everything: students join and leave all year round, groups form by level rather than by birth year, and beyond the monthly fee there are costumes, competitions and showcases to charge for. Clubiqo is built to carry that — without a spreadsheet rebuilt every September.
Groups by level, not birth year
Beginner, advanced, competitive — define the categories that suit you, each with its own price.
Costumes and kit
A showcase costume is charged as a product, with part payments and a due date — and parents see what's left.
Showcases and competitions
A performance is an event with parent confirmations, participation costs and placings.
Levels and progression
A level system with your own names, an in-app congratulation and a graphic for social media.
Enrolment that runs all month, not for one week
In a dance school students enrol whenever they arrive. Instead of someone retyping paper forms, the parent opens a link or scans a QR code at the door and fills in the child's details themselves — the school just approves them.
- Sign-up through a link or a QR code at reception
- Personal details, photo and date of birth
- Parent contact and emergency contact
- Health record: allergies, chronic injuries
- The club chooses which extra questions parents answer
- Import an existing list from a spreadsheet
Fees and everything else that gets charged
A costume for the annual showcase, an entry fee for a competition in another town, transport — in a dance school there is always something on top of the monthly fee. It all lives in one place, so the parent has a single summary instead of three messages in a group chat.
- Monthly fees generated automatically per group
- A discount per student — siblings, two programmes
- Costumes and kit as products, with part payments
- Showcase and competition costs charged per student
- Receipts and invoices carrying the school's details
- Automatic reminders to parents who haven't paid
Attendance parents see without asking
When children come to class on their own, a parent has no way of knowing they arrived. Once the teacher checks the class in at the start, the parent sees it in their app the same day — with the month's attendance percentage.
- One-tap check-in at the start of class
- Present, absent and excused with a reason
- A full month's attendance calendar in the parent app
- Attendance percentage per student and per group
- The teacher's note on an individual class
- Export the record to Excel
Showcases, dress rehearsals and announcements
The week before the annual showcase is the week with the most phone calls. An announcement with a photo, sent to the group that is performing, arrives as a push notification on every parent's phone — and stays on the record, so nobody says they weren't told.
- Announcements targeted per group, with images
- Push notifications to the parent's phone
- Showcases and rehearsals as events with confirmations
- Club documents to download: rules, price list, consent forms
- A history of everything that has been sent
- Placings and awards on the student's profile
Common questions
How do groups work when they aren't split by age?
You define the categories yourself — by level, by programme, by time slot, or a mix. Nothing forces a split by birth year. Each category has its own roster, schedule and fee, and a student can sit in more than one group if they take two programmes.
Can a costume be paid in instalments?
Yes. A costume is a club product, assigned to one student or to a whole group at once. Payments can be partial — each instalment is recorded separately, and the school always sees who has settled, who owes and who is past the due date. The parent sees the amount paid and the amount remaining in their app.
What about adult students with no parent account?
Adults get the SMS debt reminder: the app builds the debtor list for the month you choose and opens your phone's messaging app with the numbers and the text you wrote. There is no SMS gateway and no per-message charge, and the app records who was reminded and when.
Do parents see their child's progress?
Yes. If the school uses the level system, the parent sees the current level and the history of progression in their app, along with placings from competitions and showcases. When a child moves up, an in-app congratulation arrives with a graphic ready to share on social media.
