FOR ATHLETICS CLUBS

The app for an athletics club. From juniors to masters.

An athletics club app has to cover a more varied membership than any team sport: young beginners, juniors competing across different events, senior athletes and adult members who pay for themselves. Clubiqo keeps them all in one record — each group with its own coach and fee, every competition with its placings — and when an adult member falls behind on fees, you send an SMS reminder from your own phone, with no SMS gateway to set up.

Monthly training calendar with the age groups on every session
Club push notifications on a parent’s lock screen — payment, training, a podium finish
  • Groups by age and event

Juniors, sprints, jumps, throws, masters — you set up the groups, each with its own coach.

  • Competitions and placings

Who competed, the place won and a note for every athlete, with a congratulation to parents for a podium finish.

  • SMS for adult members

Masters and recreational runners with no parent account get a message from your number, with their name and the amount owed.

  • A running track on the board

Sketch lane plans, relay changeover zones or a circuit on a running-track background in the web app.

Groups by age, event and coach

In an athletics club, sprinters, jumpers and throwers often train at the same time at the same track, with different coaches. You set up categories in Clubiqo however suits you — by age, by event group or both — and each coach sees only the groups assigned to them. Attendance is taken on a phone at the trackside, and when a session isn't in the calendar there's a general register. If the club tracks coach attendance, the app also keeps a count of the sessions each coach has run and what they've earned, per session or as a percentage of fees.

  • Categories by age, event group or both
  • Coaches see only the groups assigned to them
  • Trackside register, with a whole group marked present in one tap
  • A general register when no session is scheduled
  • Present, absent or excused, with a reason
  • Coach attendance and pay, if the club keeps them

Competitions with a placing for every athlete

An athletics season takes in indoor championships, cross-country, open meetings and age-group championships, and each one has a different team. You create a competition as an event and select the athletes; their parents get an invitation notification and confirm. Afterwards you record for each athlete whether they competed, the place won and a note — the event, the time or distance, or the coach's view. A podium finish sends a congratulation to the parent, and the medal stays in the achievements section. Travel costs are charged per athlete, marked paid, unpaid or exempt — and anyone who didn't compete isn't charged.

  • Competitions and camps, with statuses from upcoming to finished
  • A competition invitation sent to parents as a notification
  • Competed or not, place won and a note for every athlete
  • A congratulation for the top three and a graphic to share
  • Entry, transport and accommodation, with an amount per athlete
  • A cancelled competition stays on record, with the reason

An athletics club app that works for adult members

Masters, recreational runners and senior athletes pay their own fees and have no parent account — so a reminder can't reach them as a push notification. That's what SMS fee reminders are for: in the mobile app you choose the month, the app picks out who hasn't paid and opens a message on your phone with their name and amount. Send individually, so nobody sees anyone else's number, or as a group of up to 20 recipients per message. There's no SMS gateway and no per-message charge from Clubiqo; it goes on your own plan. Children's reminders still go to their parents' app.

  • The debtor list for the month you choose, with amounts
  • Individual messages with name and amount
  • Group sends of up to 20 recipients per message
  • Message text you can edit to suit
  • A dated marker for every member already reminded
  • A list of members with no phone number on file

Fees, medical checks and a running track on the board

Fees are raised automatically at the group's price or a member's own rate, and inactive members aren't charged — useful for athletes taking a break for injury or exams. Where medical certificates are required, each one carries an expiry date worked out for you and is flagged as expiring soon 30 days ahead; the web dashboard's home screen lists those expired or about to be, and there's more on the athlete medical checks page. For planning sessions, the drill board on the web dashboard has a running-track background for lane plans and relay changeovers.

  • Fees raised automatically at each group's price
  • Inactive members aren't charged
  • Cash or bank transfer, with who took the payment
  • Medical check expiry worked out for you
  • Checks flagged as expiring soon 30 days ahead
  • A running-track background on the drill board

Common questions

Does Clubiqo record athletes' results by event?

Not as a statistics database. For each competition you record who took part, the place won and a note, where the coach can enter the event and the time or distance. Clubiqo doesn't replace official results or track personal bests, but it gives you one place to see who competed where and how they placed — and the parent gets a congratulation for every podium finish.

Can adults and children be members of the same club?

Yes, in the same record. Under-18 members have a parent with their own account, who sees attendance, fees and competitions and gets an unpaid-fee reminder as a notification. Adult members have no parent account, so you use the SMS reminder from the mobile app, sent from your own phone. Groups, prices and coaches are set up the same way for both.

Can the sprints coach see only their own group?

Yes. Assign the coach the groups they run and choose their permissions: taking attendance, managing events, viewing athletes and so on. The sprints coach then sees only the sprinters, takes their register and enters them for competitions, while fees and medical checks stay with the committee unless you grant those permissions too. If the club tracks coach attendance, each coach sees their own sessions and earnings.

Is there a running track on the drill board?

Yes. On the drill board, part of the web dashboard, you pick the running track as the background and sketch lane plans, relay changeover zones or a circuit. There are no preset athletics formations — you draw freely. The same board has a pool background used by swimming clubs, and a blank board for work in the jumps or throws area.

How much does Clubiqo cost for an athletics club?

The price depends on the number of active members: from €25 a month for up to 20, €30 for up to 50, €35 for up to 80 and €38 for up to 120. A yearly plan costs the same as ten months. Clubs with more than 120 members get a quote. The free trial lasts 14 days with no credit card, and onboarding and help moving your data across are free. See pricing.
