FOR VOLLEYBALL CLUBS
The app for a volleyball club. From first serve to first team.
A volleyball club app has to handle what comes round every week: the squad for Saturday's match, parents asking when the team leaves for the tournament, and fees for four or five age groups sharing one sports hall. Clubiqo keeps all of it in one place. The coach takes the register while the net goes up, parents who can't make the game follow the score live in their own app, and the committee sees on the dashboard who has paid, who owes and whose medical check is about to run out.

Matches, tournaments and live scores for parents
A volleyball weekend usually means two matches or a tournament in another town. In Clubiqo each one is an event: pick the type — match, friendly or tournament — add the details and call up the players, and parents reply yes or no, with a note if they need one. While the match is on, an admin switches on live mode from their phone, and parents who aren't in the hall see a LIVE strip with the current score in the parent app. Afterwards you record the final result and the outcome, plus the team's placing at a tournament. Each player keeps a coach's rating, whether they started, and a note their parent can read.
- Event types: match, friendly, tournament, camp and team-building
- Parent replies with an optional note of up to 300 characters
- A LIVE strip with the score — no notification for every point
- Live mode switches itself off after four hours
- Rating out of 10, starting line-up and coach's note per player
- Duplicate an event for the next league round
A volleyball court and formations on the drill board
Rotation in a 5-1 is easier to explain with a drawing than with words halfway through a session. The drill board is part of the web dashboard: choose the volleyball court as the background, place a 4-2, 5-1 or 6-2 formation and sketch serve receive, block cover or the transition to attack on top of it. The board is two-dimensional and deliberately simple — it works like the whiteboard in the changing room, only on a computer screen. Coaches open it before a session or a team talk, and the same board does for conditioning drills that need no formation at all. There is more on drawing drills and tactics.
- A volleyball court as the drawing background
- Ready-made 4-2, 5-1 and 6-2 formations
- Serve receive, block, defence and transition on one sketch
- A blank board for drills that don't need a court
- A clean 2D view that reads well on a big screen
- On the web dashboard, next to the rest of the club's records
What a volleyball club app does between matches
Most of a club's work happens between matches, not during them. Each age group — from the beginners to the senior side — has its own roster, and you define positions yourselves, so a profile shows whether someone is a setter, outside hitter, opposite, middle blocker or libero. The coach takes attendance on a phone, can mark a whole group present in one tap, and records an absence with a reason as excused. Where medical certificates are required, each one carries an expiry date the app works out for you and is flagged as expiring soon 30 days ahead. Those players are listed on the web dashboard's home screen — see athlete medical checks.
- Age groups from the beginners to the senior side
- Positions the club defines itself — no fixed template
- Present, absent or excused, with a reason the parent can see
- Mark a whole group present in one tap when everyone's in
- Expiry worked out from the exam date and validity period
- Checks flagged as expiring soon 30 days before they lapse
Fees, kit and tournament entry
A volleyball club rarely charges for membership alone. Each month's fee is raised automatically at the age group's price or the player's own rate, and a payment is recorded as cash or bank transfer, together with the name of whoever took it. Shirts and knee pads go through club kit sales: give each player an amount, and payments can come in instalments. Entry fees, transport and accommodation for a tournament are logged as event costs with an individual amount per player — and anyone who doesn't travel isn't charged. Parents see the lot under Finances in their app.
- Monthly fees raised automatically at each group's price
- A personal rate or discount for an individual player
- Waive a month for an injury or a break
- Shirts and kit with payments in instalments
- Entry, transport and accommodation per player for each tournament
- Automatic reminders to parents whose child hasn't paid
Common questions
How can parents follow a volleyball match live?
Once a match or friendly is under way, an admin switches on live mode for parents in the mobile app. Parents then see a LIVE strip in their own app, with a score that updates in real time. There is no notification for every point, and live mode turns itself off after four hours. The score shown is the one you enter — Clubiqo doesn't keep a set-by-set scoresheet.
Does Clubiqo have volleyball formations?
Yes. On the drill board, which is part of the web dashboard, you pick the volleyball court and one of three formations: 4-2, 5-1 or 6-2. The formation is a starting point — you draw the movement, serve receive or block cover on top of it. The board runs in the browser rather than the mobile app, so coaches usually prepare drills on a computer before training.
Can a coach see only their own squad?
Yes. You choose each coach's permissions — taking attendance, managing events, fees, medical checks and more — and limit them to the age groups they're assigned. The U16 coach then sees only the U16s, takes the register and sets up matches, while the money stays with the committee. If the club pays coaches per session or as a percentage of fees, the app tracks their sessions and earnings too.
What about senior players with no parent account?
Adult players usually have no parent to receive a reminder, so there is an SMS fee reminder for them. In the mobile app you pick the month, the app picks out who hasn't paid and opens a message on your phone with the number and amount filled in. It goes from your own number on your own plan — there's no SMS gateway and no per-message charge from Clubiqo.
How do new players sign up after a taster session or summer camp?
In the mobile app you create a sign-up link or QR code and send it to the parent. They fill in their own and the child's details, their parent account is set up automatically, and the child appears in the club waiting for an age group. Each link is valid for 24 hours and works for one child. When you assign the group, the app asks whether to charge this month's fee.
