SMS REMINDERS

SMS fee reminders. Sent from your own phone.

SMS fee reminders are built for clubs whose members aren't children: recreational players, veterans, adult groups in martial arts, dance or athletics. They have no parent account, so a push notification can't reach them, and ringing every debtor one by one takes days. Clubiqo builds the list of members who haven't paid for the month you choose, drops each name, month and amount into the message and opens the messaging app on your phone — all you do is press send. Clubiqo charges nothing per message: they go from your number, on your own plan.

Fee reminders — automatic messages to parents on a chosen day and time
Debts — members who owe, by month, with amounts and a reminder button
  • From your own number

The message leaves from the messaging app on your phone. No SMS gateway and no extra subscription.

  • Only the people who owe

A list of active members with an unpaid fee for the month you choose, with the amount owed.

  • A personal message each

Name, month and amount are filled in for every member, so nobody types the same sentence twenty times.

  • A record of who was reminded

Each member shows the date of their last reminder, and one tap hides everyone already reminded.

When an SMS fee reminder is the right tool

For children, the club has a better tool than SMS. Parents receive automatic push reminders — up to three a month, on the day and at the time you choose — and older arrears have their own "Arrears" screen with a manual reminder. But a push only reaches someone with an account in the app. Adult members, common in karate and martial arts clubs, usually don't have one, and that leaves a gap: the club knows who owes but has no way to tell them without a phone call. The SMS reminder fills exactly that gap. Switch on SMS reminders for unpaid fees, and an SMS button appears on the "Memberships" screen.

  • For members with no parent account: adults, recreational players, veterans
  • Switched on per club, in the club settings
  • An SMS button on the "Memberships" screen in the mobile app
  • A Send SMS shortcut on the "Arrears" screen too
  • Works for extra program fees as well as membership
  • Used by admins and coaches with permission to manage fees

A debtor list for the month you choose

If you currently hunt for debtors in a membership fee spreadsheet, here the list is already made. Pick the month and year, and the app lists the active members whose fee for that month is unpaid, with the amount owed. The message goes to the phone number saved on the member's profile; anyone without one appears separately under "No phone number", so you know whose number to add. Everyone already reminded carries a "Reminded on" label with the date, and the top of the screen shows how many were reminded this month. If you stop halfway and carry on later, "Hide reminded" leaves only those still waiting for a message.

  • Choose the month and year to remind about
  • Only active members with an unpaid amount
  • Select all and clear, plus search by name
  • A separate "No phone number" list, with a count
  • A "Reminded on" label with the date of the last reminder
  • A "Hide reminded" filter for picking up where you left off

One by one or as a group: personal or fast

There are two ways to send. "One by one" means one message per member, with their name and amount: the app opens the compose screen for each member in turn, and you send it or skip them. Nobody sees anyone else's number, which makes it the sensible choice for a reminder about money. "Group" is quicker — recipients go in batches of up to 20 per message — but the personal placeholders are removed, and phones usually send such a message as a group text, so members see each other's numbers and can reply to all. The app warns you before you send.

  • One by one: a message per member, with name and amount
  • A "Member X of Y" counter as you work through the list
  • Skip a member you don't want to text, or stop at any point
  • Group: up to 20 recipients per message
  • A warning that group texts show everyone's numbers
  • Separate saved wording for individual and group messages

Reminder wording you write once

The wording is yours. The default reminder reads: "Hello {{ime}}, your membership fee for {{mesec}} ({{iznos}}) is still unpaid. Please settle it as soon as you can. Thank you!" The placeholders {{ime}} (name), {{mesec}} (month) and {{iznos}} (amount) are filled in for each member, and a counter under the message shows characters and SMS parts. Worth knowing: characters outside the basic SMS alphabet, such as the Serbian č or š, shorten a single text to 70 characters, so a longer message is split into several parts. Wording the club owner edits is saved for next month. SMS reminders work in the mobile app on iPhone and Android phones.

  • Placeholders {{ime}}, {{mesec}} and {{iznos}}, plus {{program}} for programs
  • A counter for characters and SMS parts
  • A note that special characters shorten an SMS to 70 characters
  • Saved wording for next time, edited by the club owner
  • Devices that can't send texts, such as an iPad, offer Copy numbers
  • No SMS gateway and no extra subscription

Common questions

How much does it cost to send SMS fee reminders?

Clubiqo doesn't charge for messages and doesn't use an SMS gateway. The reminder goes out from the messaging app on your phone, from your own number, so it is billed on your phone plan like any other text — if your plan includes unlimited texts, the reminders cost nothing extra. The feature itself is included in every Clubiqo plan, at no additional charge.

Can I send SMS reminders from a computer?

No. SMS reminders work only in the mobile app, on iPhone and Android phones, because it is your phone that actually sends the message. The web dashboard doesn't have this option. A device that can't send texts, such as an iPad, offers a Copy numbers button instead, so you can paste the numbers wherever suits you.

Will members see each other's phone numbers?

Not in one-by-one mode: each member gets a separate message with their own name and amount. In group mode the message goes to up to 20 recipients at once and phones usually send it as a group text, so members see each other's numbers and can reply to all. The app warns you before sending, and for a reminder about money one by one is usually the better choice.

How do I know who I've already reminded?

Every send is logged per member and per month. On the debtor list, a member carries a "Reminded on" label with the date, and the top of the screen shows how many members have already been reminded this month. The "Hide reminded" filter leaves only those who haven't had a message. Everyone who manages fees sees the same record, so two people at the club don't text the same member twice.

Is SMS or push better for parents of children?

Push is better for parents. Once a parent has an account, automatic fee reminders reach them on their own — up to three a month, on the day and at the time you choose, and only if the current month's fee is unpaid. Older arrears have the "Arrears" screen with a manual reminder. SMS is meant for members with no parent account, mostly adults, whom a push can't reach.
