FOR KARATE AND MARTIAL ARTS CLUBS

The app for a karate club. Belts, gradings, fees.

A karate club has two things other sports don't: a belt system every member climbs over years, and a membership that is half children with parents and half adults paying for themselves. Clubiqo covers both — the grading history of every member from white to black, and a way to collect fees that still works when there is no parent account.

Belts and gradings

Ready-made templates or your own system of names and colours, with each grading's date, examiner and note.

SMS reminders for adults

Adult members have no parent account — the debtor list builds itself and you send the message from your own phone.

Competitions and medals

Placings per competition in one place, with a graphic ready for social media.

Attendance as a grading condition

Attendance percentage per member over any period — the figure you need before deciding who grades.

Belts kept the way your style keeps them

Every federation and every style has its own belt order and its own names. Rather than bending your club to someone else's system, you set your own — names, colours and order — or start from a template and change it.

  • Ready-made belt templates or your own names and colours
  • Current belt and the full grading history on the member's profile
  • Each grading recorded with date, examiner and note
  • An in-app congratulation when a member passes
  • A graphic ready to share on social media
  • Parents follow their child's progress in their own app

Collecting fees when the members aren't children

With adult members there is no parent to push a notification to. So Clubiqo builds the list of who owes what for the month you pick and opens your phone's messaging app — number filled in, and the text you wrote yourself. No SMS gateway, no subscription, no per-message charge.

  • The debtor list builds itself, with the amount owed for the chosen month
  • You see at a glance who has a phone number on file and who doesn't
  • Send individually with name and amount, or in bulk when speed matters
  • You write the message text, and it is kept for next time
  • A record of who was reminded and when, with a "hide reminded" filter
  • Under-18 members still get the reminder through their parent's app

Groups by age and by grade

A karate club rarely splits members by age alone — groups form around level too. Categories in Clubiqo are yours to define, each with its own fee and its own schedule.

  • Categories by age, by belt, or both
  • A separate fee per category
  • Recurring sessions booked several months at a time
  • Several categories on one slot, when they train together
  • Automatic notifications when the schedule changes
  • Attendance percentage per member and per category

Competitions, seminars and entry fees

A competition or a seminar means a list of entrants, an entry fee, transport and accommodation. All of it is one event with confirmations, and the costs are charged per member and appear in their financial summary.

  • Competitions, seminars, camps and training weeks as events
  • Invite members and collect confirmations
  • Placings and medals per competition
  • Costs — entry, transport, accommodation — charged per member
  • Part payments with a due date
  • Event statistics and duplication of an existing fixture

Common questions

Can I set up my own belt system?

Yes. Start from a template and edit it, or build one from scratch — your names, your colours, your order. That matters because systems differ between federations and styles, and there is no sense bending a club to someone else's order. Each grading is then recorded with its date, examiner and note.

How does collection work for adult members?

An adult member usually has no parent account, so there is nobody to send a push notification to. Clubiqo builds the debtor list for the month you choose and opens your phone's messaging app with the numbers and the text you wrote. You send it from your own number — no SMS gateway, no subscription, no per-message charge. The app records who was reminded and when, so nobody gets the same message twice.

Does this work for judo, boxing, aikido or taekwondo?

It does. The progression system isn't tied to karate — you set whatever names and colours your sport and federation use, whether they are belts, levels or ranks. Everything else — attendance, fees, competitions, the parent app — is the same across martial arts.

Can the club see who qualifies to grade?

Yes, from the attendance record. The percentage is calculated per member over the period you choose, so before a grading you have the figure without counting through notebooks. You also see each member's earlier gradings.

What if the club has children and adults in the same group?

That's fine — under-18 members have a parent account and their reminders arrive as push notifications, while adults go onto the SMS reminder list. The app tells them apart on its own, so you don't keep two separate records.
